As The Dawn Breaks

Having soda and cheap vodka assisting your breakfast after a long night of no sleep.
No, in my time zone we don’t got weekends all week.
Feeling all right, but not really alive.
I bought shrimp salad yesterday (better believe it, ’cause it’s true) and eating it for breakfast on toasted bread.
Any of you ever thought about how dull toast can be? Actually, insaneously dull.
I’m not gonna use the phrase “cardboard”, and neither “taste like chicken.” Maybe a mix.
Nah, actually it’s more like the dust of crushed concrete, or granulated plywood, or something in between.
Not that I don’t like it, though. Don’t think that. I enjoy it.
It’s a pronounced pleasure compared to all the mornings where the fridge was absolutely evacuated, or to the mornings when I was some place where you would count yourself a lucky son-of-a-bitch if there was half a lukewarm beer left on the table.
So, I’m overtly thrilled about this breakfast meal.
If only I could get this sleep-when-it’s-dark routine-thing working, and didn’t have to eat breakfast before going to sleep, I’d guess it would all be okay.
